Support 5th Grade STEM Education!
The S.T.A.R. Program A Project of Student Organizations
Help close the funding gap for our student symposium
Who We Are
The S.T.A.R. Program strives to show 5th grade students in Baltimore City Public Schools the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through the use of fun and engaging enrichment activities.
We are currently planning for our first annual project symposium, where our 5th grade S.T.A.R. scholars from Calvin Rodwell Elementary School will showcase their projects to invited guests and the UMBC community. We are excited to celebrate the achievements of these enthusiastic young STEM scholars.
Help Us Celebrate Our Students
We have already raised over $1,800 to support the program-- but we need your help to cross the finish line.
The $500 raised through this campaign will be used to serve snacks to our visitors, and provide t-shirts and certificates to recognize our outstanding kids. We want them to remember this day forever!
Your gift today puts Baltimore City students on the path to STEM careers.
Join the Fun!
The project symposium will take place Friday, May 6th from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. on UMBC's campus in the University Center room 312. We invite you to come watch the presentations and join us in congratulating our students.
All contributions raised are administered by the UMBC Foundation for the benefit of UMBC.
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
