LaMont Toliver Alumni Memorial Scholarship

LaMont Toliver Alumni Memorial Scholarship A Project of UMBC Scholarships

Remembering LaMont Toliver

LaMont Toliver was a powerful presence at UMBC, both in stature and in personality.

Throughout his 22 years at UMBC, he was a source of strength and inspiration for so many of us. His sudden passing in February of 2012 was a huge loss for the Meyerhoff Scholars Program and the entire university.

To celebrate his life and incredible work, graduates of the Meyerhoff Scholars Program established the LaMont Toliver Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund, which will support scholarships for Meyerhoff students for generations to come. Please make your gift to the LaMont Toliver Alumni Memorial Scholarship Fund to build a meaningful and lasting memorial to LaMont and his life's work at UMBC.

How can you help?

Gifts of any size are greatly needed and appreciated. We're working to reach an endowment that will help future Meyerhoff scholars for years to come.

To date, we have raised $38,568 towards the LaMont Toliver Alumni Memorial Scholarship. With only $11,432 to go - we'll reach our $50,000 goal that will enable this scholarship fund to exist in perpetuity. If you have already made your gift, thank you!

All contributions raised are administered by the UMBC Foundation for the benefit of UMBC.
