UMBC Veteran Emergency Fund A Project of Campus Life

Veteran Emergency Fund

UMBC is grateful for the dedication and service of our armed forces. The nearly 300 UMBC Veteran students and their families make a significant contribution to the campus community. UMBC's Veteran Emergency Fund seeks to provide assistance and support for veteran students or active duty military students who are experiencing financial difficulties. The funds raised will help support veteran students who encounter hardships due to separation from the military, family and medical emergencies, delayed benefits, and other unforeseen hardships.

Why Should You Donate?

The UMBC Veteran Emergency Fund seeks to aid veteran students who without assistance may not be able to continue their academic careers at UMBC.

Disbursement of Aid

UMBC veterans will apply for aid through UMBC's Off Campus Student Services (OCSS) office. Eligibility for aid will be determined case-by-case on the basis of need by Veteran Student Services faculty and staff.

Every donation counts and 100% of the proceeds will go to our goal of helping veterans experiencing financial hardship and ensuring every student veteran or active duty military student can have a successful academic career at UMBC.

All contributions raised are administered by the UMBC Foundation for the benefit of UMBC.
